THE WATCH is a 5 piece band from Milan, Italy.
Their music is inspired by the classic style prog of the 70's and in particular by the music of Genesis. The band's first album, Ghost, was released in 2001, followed in 2004 by Vacuum and in 2007 by Primitive.
In 2009 the band released it's first live album, called The Watch live.
Melody and energy are the main features of The Watch music and live performance one of their strengths.
All their energy and inspiration comes out on stage as a confirmation of how much they believe in what they do.
The line up of the band has changed several times through the years. Simone Rossetti, founder and main composer is the singer of the band since the very start. Since the end of 2008, according to Simone Rossetti the band has it's best line up ever and activity is growing all the time.
Since 2009 they are involved in long tours, touching Europe, Canada and USA and playing shows inspired to Genesis albums and The Watch own music
In 2010 they have released another album called "Planet Earth" which has gained a very good reputation all over the prog and rock world. in 2011 they have released "Timeless" a kind of experiment, where the band has rivisited some themes from the From Genesis to revelation album and adding some original music too into it. Another very warm reception from The Watch supporters. The band is currently very busy with their new live show, called Yellow show, and mainly dedicated to Genesis Nursery Cryme 1971 and some 1976 Genesis music productions... plus of course The Watch own music... a long tour again touching all parts of Europe. Check the tour 2012 section for all the dates annouced. A new studio album is forseen for 2013 !!!
