In France they have the reputation to be the logic following band of ANGE. Christian Decamps the vocalist and head of ANGE is collaborating with them for the next album "Âmes Vagabondes". He will sing together with Eric Vedovati on one song and he is composing one song which he will perform with the band. The history Christian Decamps will tell with this song is the following: "It's the story about a guy, who realizes that everything around him is gone, love, the world, friendship, humanity and so he decides to escape inside of himself for an eternal voyage. His interior, which he calls içi (here)." Below how Dominique Barboyon introduces the EX-VAGUS to The Watch's audience: "Born in 1996, the Ex-Vagus band is resolutely « progressive », with a modern and worked base. Sailing between their references [Ange, Galaad, Atoll, Marillion, King Crimson, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater...] Ex-Vagus plays a prog rock melody, lyric and powerful thanks to a permanent search for environments and sound decorations. The compositions are stories put in scene, from where their choice to sing in French. On scene the group privileges the emotion and energy, and wants to propose an original style which dissociates currents of the moment. After CD live « Par Delà Les Légendes » in 2000 [ 1st rock opera of the combo ], the 3 titles « Cité Global » in 2002, Ex-Vagus recorded in 2004 its third and new album « Seconde Lumière » whose arrival in the vats of the distributors was done in April [ France/Japan/USA ]. During the same time, the group entered in musical residence, with the Theatre En Rond of Sassenage [ France ], to create the rock opera corresponding to this album [ tour 2004/2005 ]. Extremely in all the concerts given in France and Switzerland, support of Barclay James Harvest,/Focus/Ars Nova and six times for Ange, the help of the General Council of Isere, Fnac, the Forum Spaces Culture and of the Theatre En Rond of Sassenage [ to quote only them ] Ex-Vagus continuous to spread the wings of its creativity by foreseeing a colourful future, while taking part in particular in important festivals such as ProgSol [ Swiss ], ProgResiste [ Belgium ], Obernai, Morestel and Mably [ France ]" |
